Listen to some of the politicians say why pot shouldn't be illegal and you will often hear them say the pharmaceutical has plenty of drugs for people or they will say marijuana is very dangerous! If you think about it people die every year from legal precription and over the counter drugs while no one has ever died from marijuana.

I think anti marijuana politicians probably help get support and money for their campaigns from the big drug companies. The drug companies make billions of dollars a year and the marijuana buisness is also a billion dollar buisness, but marijuana is a plant that can be grown by anyone so people would be able to grow their own medicine.

Today the drug companies have thousands of different drugs for illnesses. If one drug doesn't work for some medical condition you have, they put you on another drug and then another if that doesn't work and then if you have another different illness, you are then given another medication.

Our government borrows money from China and we are in a trillion dollar debt, that is why I don't think legalizing marijuana could be about the government making tax money.

I don't think it's about tax money, I think they won't legalize it to protect the drug companies. In the 1860's marijuana was the number one legal medical drug in the United States and people were also allowed to use it for recreation. It was used to treat over 100 illnesses.
