Funny, I read a report that says Europe has more standing timber now than it did during the period 1700-1900. As I work outdoors I have seen replanted cutblocks,Some very old and ready for harvesting again. Millions of trees are replanted every year. This is a renewable resource. Guess where you find the most ungulates, bears and other mammals? in old growth? I think not, just ask any outdoorsman.
