Jerry and Dean had a bad split and did not speak to each other for many years until they reconciled.

Perhaps the best single laugh anyone's ever got out of Dean Martin. Martin & (Jerry) Lewis were considered one of the greatest comedy teams of the 20th century. Lewis was (in his words) the "monkey," and Martin was the straight man. Lewis has said the duo's success was due to Martin's wit and fantastic comedic timing.
