Bison Charges at Tourist

When you enter the park they give you a map and this newspaper. On the newspaper it has some of the fines listed. Talk to any of the rangers there. Our host at the campground said it's 500 for taking an elk antler. Hell, my friend got 100 fine for a handful of blueberries at Sleeping Bear Dunes national forest.

We were told to stay 25 yards away from a bison and 100 yards away from a bear. We were not told about fines. This was this summer.

there are too many people that come to yellowstone that do not sem to understand wildlife is dangerous, just a couple weeks ago some kid got attacked by a bison because he walked up to it to take a picture!

I was working in Yellowstone when this happend and was there that guy was told to back away and all he did was get closer. He got off lucky.

People at Yellowstone are retarded. I was by myself and this black bear appeared. I watched it for a while and told my girlfriend to go down there. When she got down there a bunch of cars had showed up and people were following the bear around and taking pictures. It's just a black bear but some of those people need to get mauled and hit. That's why there are huge fines for getting close to the animals. It was 5000 dollars for trying to get within 100 yards of a bear or bison cant remember

I actually saw folks getting out of their cars and CHASING bears to get photos!
Those adults get what they deserve IMO. It is just sad when the idiots drag their kids along.

I don't pity people that have things like this happen to them. Nine times out of ten, they completely deserved it. I have been to Yellowstone and many other national parks, and was absolutely amazed at how MORONIC people are. Despite warning signs posted everywhere, so many people got entirely too close to bison, deer, etc. just to get that "perfect photo". I couldn't believe my eyes. These are the same people that would probably try to sue if the animal attacked them.
