This is what is offered to those who accept the call of battle (see Stirling video).

The ending is great! "They fought like warrior poets. They fought like Scotsmen, and won their freedom."

"...and won their freedom." Scripture tells us that "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him" (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Do you really think that being in heaven 10,000 years singing hymns is what God has in mind? Is that what is in our hearts? Can we think of a better ending to the story of this world that God?!

If, as the Scriptures say, God "has [written] eternity on the hearts of men," is an eternal church service in the sky what we would TRULY long for?

I "think" not. (See Act Four: The Kingdom Restored).

* I realize that some women may find it sexist that there is only "the hearts of men" and that women are not listed. My perspective of this, as a man, is that it is not to men only that this desire is given, but also to women as well. The word choice is simply meant to refer to the RACE of men (think Lord of the Rings, where "men" is a collective term referring to all human beings, both male AND female).
