Its not crotch rocket riders thats the problem.. There are alot of "squids" that ride harleys or any other kind of motorcycle.. There are morons in every facet of life..

Well said, redshift. Everybody today wants to be a stunter and "fit in" with all the other sport bike riders. Some get in way over their heads and seriously hurt. If your not going to take riding seriously, dont put your loved ones in distress.

Don't listen to youtrade207. You are making the right decision by going with a 250cc before a 600cc. Nobody is a pro their first time on a motorcycle and having 600cc's of engine between your legs when you make your first mistakes is a lot less forgiving. The Kawasaki Ninja 250r is a great starter or the hyosung gt250r. It will allow you to get the feel of a sport bike without biting off more than you can chew. Then, later on, upgrade to a 600cc or higher. That is the safe and smart thing to do.
