Raising Chickens - Visit my blog at http://successwithpoultry.blogspot.com for chicken raising tips and info.
In this video eggs have been put into an incubator to hatch. This short clip shows the progress of the eggs over their hatching period. It includes the developmental stages of the chick in the egg, aswell as showing a chick hatching out. Interesting to anyone looking into breeding / keeping chickens or having a backyard flock.

they are expensive, but if you put a light bulb over the egg(s) and put a heating pad on low, with a dish of water next to it, it might hatch. Keep it at 90-100 degrees.

    I think that is wonderful.

I would love to be able to have more pets (more being more than fish) The weather in Canada is not all that warm to get a dog and be able to keep him outdoors or in a shelter/shed. It also applies to chickens of course.

  • Its amazing that ...

Its amazing that those little chicks can fit in those little eggs. We have some in an incubator now. And we're starting to hear some of them peep. And one egg jiggles a bit every once in a while. We keep them as pets, for the eggs. And our rooster, Peeper (the father of our incubated chicks) I hand raised when his mother was killed. He's tame. And follows me around because he thinks I'm his mother. He lets me pick him up, too. He lives with his wife who is sitting on some eggs now.
