This used to be my song back when my hair was down to my waist. I would just drift from place to place on my bike. When I ran low on money I would work in the oil fields, get a few paychecks then hit the road again, ride, party, hook up with a woman for a while then move on again.

Now I do the 9-5 thing. Drive the kids to school. Get groceries for the wife. I listen to this song wonder, WHAT THE F**k HAPPENED?

Just like some of you, the first time I heard this song (also I have to confess the first time I heard of George Thorogood - Universal City, October 4th shared concert with Bryan Adams), I felt like "this is a song about me !". Well, except for the last verse, but the parents speech, the gf parents, the big brother... very familiar.
