"High quality water is more than the dream of the conservationists, more than a political slogan; high quality water, in the right quantity at the right place at the right time, is essential to health, recreation, and economic growth."

- Richard Bangs and Christian Kallen, Rivergods, 1985

The 2007 Water Resources Conference is the first event in the spectrum of activity being undertaken by the newly formed Auburn University Water Resources Center, part of the Natural Resources Management & Development Institute at Auburn University. Through outreach initiatives like the Conference, it is our hope to facilitate the critically needed, visionary changes necessary to protect freshwater quality and quantity throughout the state and nation.
