Remastered The Doomsday Machine Trailer

...and making the planets look different not just the same one colored differtly.

I like the remastered and original versions of the show.

One of the many reasons I like remastered versions is that if they pass a planet it actually looks like a different planet not just same one colored differently.

I only have one complaint with the remastered version and that is... Warp speed. They should of had warp effects like going to warp, at warp, and dropping out of warp.

Personally I just wanted more of them. Quite frankly I was disappointed with how much CBS Digital held back. I realize it was probably their first major project, but still...Why they didn't go with Eden FX is beyond me.

That being said, this was my favorite remastered episode. The hull damage on the Constellation was incredibly detailed.

a strange cacophony of visual effects integrated into an over a strange mix old school video and frankenstien like cgi effects.

The effects were fine.

Personally I think the CGI effects in the remastered version are absolutly poor. If they'd put a bit more effort into this would be pretty good viewing.

They aren't changing anything. All they are doing is "polishing up" the special effects to look more like what you imagine it to be.

I'm sorry I missed this episode when it aired. It was one of the few episodes where the enterprise isn't spending most of, if not the whole episode, orbiting a planet. Don't get me wrong, those remastered scenes are good but I need to see a little something different.

I'd love to see what they do with Ultimate Computer, Journey to Babel, and other more battle-heavy episodes if they can do this to an old favorite... And isn't this headed for HD release???
