The Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router is really three devices in one box. First, there's the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect both screaming fast Wireless-G (802.11g at 54Mbps) and Wireless-B (802.11b at 11Mbps) devices to the network. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. Connect four PCs directly, or attach more hubs and switches to create as big a network as you need. Finally, the Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection.Once your computers are connected to the Router and the Internet, they can communicate with each other too, sharing resources and files. All your computers can print on a shared printer connected anywhere in the house. And your computers can share all kinds of files -- music, digital pictures, and documents. Keep all your digital music on one computer, and listen to it anywhere in the house. Organize all of your family's digital pictures in one place, to simplify finding the ones you want, and easing backup to CD-R. Utilize extra free space on one computer when another's hard drive starts to fill up.The new Wi-Fi Protected Setup feature makes it easy to configure your wireless devices. Just push the button on the router and on your other Wi-Fi Protected Setup-enabled wireless device to automatically create a WPA2 connection that protects your data and privacy with up to 256-bit industrial-strength encryption. The Router can serve as a DHCP Server, has a powerful SPI firewall to protect your PCs against intruders and most known Internet attacks, supports VPN pass-through, and can be configured to filter internal users' access to the Internet. Advanced configuration is a snap with the web browser-based interface. With the Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router at the center of your home or office network, you can share a high-speed Internet connection, files, printers, and multi-player games with flexibility, speed, security and simplicity!

By snowballlove12 [Affiliate User] 1215964858 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWell it would still be much easier to unplug and replug. Then have to find a pencil and locate that small button AND TIME IT PERFECTLY.
If you are to disregard my number 2 replace it with these:
1. The reset button was on the original WRT54G's (unlike what he said), that is a way this router IS NOT new.
2. The reset button is not easier like he says it is.
3. The old ones are stackable and don't look like alien crap.
actually ur wrong too...on number 2, yes it's a restart, its only a reset when u hold it for 10 seconds and release...moron

By neosalg [Affiliate User] 1215174717 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Remove1. THE 4-PORTS ARE NOT GIGABIT. The gigbit ports are only available on the special 802.11N version of the router, not even the regualr N version. He even mentions it twice, IDIOT.
2. The "reset" button doesn't restart (like unplugging and replugging). What it does is, it completely RESETS you router, which means factory defaults and ANY setting you put in it WILL BE GONE (INCLUDING any protection(WEP WPA)).
3. Do not listen to any information this video has, it is riddled with wrong stuff.
Yay i found him...no more gay british C**t
By Jager1000 [Affiliate User] 1214698609 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveQuestion about Access Point:
I have a Wireless Zoom router, and a Wireless N Linksys (N version of one in video) I am trying to use the Linksys as the access point for the Zoom (I want to use the Zooms connection through the Linksys wireless). So all I have to do is connect ethernet port 1,2,3 or 4 to 1,2,3, or 4 of both routers? I need to make Zoom's Ip: 10.0.0.2 Linksys IP: 10.0.0.3 ? Then configure the Encryption in a cloning way between both???? What am I missing? HELP! Email or Respond
