The vampyres are the illusion, the fantasy of the ones that belive in darkness, that their lives had come bad, and want to be pure evil cause they think being inmortal they will be invisibles and all powerfull, I like the sexyness of Vampyres, but they only live in books and novels, but some take that fantasy to reallity

As far as I know it was Pl, Czech Rep and Slovakia. But you might be right too. This way or another, they come from Slavic territories.

I think they do not need to bite them, its a symbolical meaning, however. So i think they do it only on special ceremonies.

Of course there are... They come from the ancient times of today's Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia. That's also where the name came from "Wampir". And they DO exist.
