It's an SPR. Special Purpose Rifle. Basically a totally modified M4 that's been set up as a sniper rifle. Since it can fire just like an M4, it's nice to have around since it's calibrated for distance but also definately usable up close, unlike an M40 or a .50cal which would be a bit harder (though still doable) to use in a close quarters battle.

Actually, they're just individuals doing the job they decided upon. Whether or not you believe they're morally right or not doesn't matter. THEY don't even care if they're morally right, in fact, most of the time, they prolly don't even know why they're doing things. As long as they get paid, it doesn't matter.
