Iron maiden made good music always. metallica turned to S**t in the 90's. Iron maiden is older than metallica and makes better live shows.Maiden didn't have such a huge commercial success like the black album but why are you comparing maiden to metallica? they're different.

Commercially they're better, but you can't compare two different styles of metal.

When did Metallica and Iron Maiden start compeating I thought it was Metallica vs Megadeth. Metallica is way better than Iron Maiden record sells prove it.

people like to bitch too much!, if you ask me the only reason Metallica have been around so many years with only two major line up change (excluding Dave, who dint recorded a album with em) its the fact they do what they like, in my opinion they got more balls than any other band, its easy to repeat what works but hard to try something you don't know, and make it work. METALLICA 4 EVER!

well that's not entirely true... maiden's record are so different from each other still very good, but no so different... and who the F**k cares who's better? isn't it better to have two great band bands than one?

lol, way to dream... when Metallica releases 14 albums, each better and different than the last, then we can talk again. and there's a few other metal bands 'around' that are in metallica's way to being the best.
