I would say that you have overlooked one of the most important benifits, that mothers milk is always changing to suite her baby perfectly. while formula is of course always the same.
that aside, this is a wonderful video, great information.
i am currently breastfeeding my 2 year old. (my only child so far)
I have read from a reliable source (LLL) that as the child grows and eats more foods in their toddler hood, but continues to breastfeed, their mothers milk changes (as it always does, even hourly) to be highly concentrated with immunities. Since a child's immune system matures at anywhere from 4-6 years of age, it makes perfect sense that this is the time that the milk teeth fall out (baby teeth) and the most children naturally wean themselves.

As for other woman's milk for baby, don't you think all who consider buying breast milk for their babies is not yummy? And maybe dangerous. (do people pass genetic info in breast milk??). In 20 years from now, we may learn about horrible consequences. And the "breast feet" Mrs Wise are awesome! Great books you two, wish would be more popular in the States.
My Sister in law has a really bad back, she breast fed for like two weeks and just couldn't do it because of the pain. I have another friend who stopped because it just hurt her so badly, no creams would help the cracking and bleeding. I think if it works for you, GREAT. If not, then you give the baby the next best thing. It doesn't mean I am a bad mother like some people have told me, it means I tried, it didn't work, end of story.
By MoonFae80 [Affiliate User] 1219316346 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis is sweet how you wrote "breast feet". I have the book God's Medicine Is Best by L. Wise. A lot of the info is just right. I wander why this book is more popular in europe, since is published in US?
By Tuthamenhaten [Affiliate User] 1219315953 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI agree, some say at least breast feet for three months and child will get the immunity and all other goods. But If can't breastfeed do to stress and other factors, live with it give bottle. Is better than worry about the milk not coming and add to the stress. Your baby need your attention don't stress too much, do the best you can. There is more info about health...in "God's Medicine Is Best "by Linda Wise. The key is; do the best you can. My opinion for now, I will not buy breast milk.
By herbs4u [Affiliate User] 1219315401 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI breast fed for two weeks. Milk was not coming in, and my son was losing weight, which is dangerous for a newborn. I was also on medication myself and did not want that transfered to him. Some women CAN'T physically breast feed. I was under stress from other things and the milk would not come in. To all the ladies out there who can't breast feed, don't EVER let anyone make you feel bad for not doing it! Formula is JUST FINE!
By MoonFae80 [Affiliate User] 1219308896 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI would really have to know the woman before I would buy her breast milk for my baby, I would have to know and be with her when she recieved her medical report about her health. Cause you can't tell by just looking at the milk if their was something wrong with it, like having medications, drugs, alcohol, stds, infections, AIDS/HIV/HEP, etc and so on.A woman would have to be 100% healthy before I would even consider it for my baby.
By dasiatrenne [Affiliate User] 1219299913 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI think in the 90's women were selling their breast milk? But, I'm not sure, but I think the site got shut down because a baby became sick or ended up with an illness that wasn't from babies mother and father, but from the breast milk that was sold or it was contaminated or poisoned, something like that. I don't really remember why, but the site wasn't moderated by medical people. Honestly I really don't know. I was to paranoid to use the site, I wouldn't anyways..
By dasiatrenne [Affiliate User] 1219299639 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI was bottle fed. I have no idea why. And I'm not likely to breast feed any children I may have since I'm male.
By marcluc1988 [Affiliate User] 1219295924 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removei knew two females who got breast infections after starting to breast feed their children, there is a name for it but cant remember it. so, there is not much options other than formula when this happens.

By psychetruth [Affiliate User] 1219277716 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveNo, their diet consists of mainly vegetables next meat is fish or sea food which great oils little fat and wonderful protein. Very little red meat and pork is consumed but it is still in their diet. You have to remember Japan is very old they'll had a long time to get things right look at the Samurai!
By Malaachi [Affiliate User] 1219276204 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYa Ive seen that video b4 but I was only askin for the 1st background pic, the one with the blue clouds wall painting.
By Vokio [Affiliate User] 1219275848 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYes, that makes sense. I could sort of imagine the mother's body naturally making perfect milk for a while at the expense of it's own body, but that couldn't possibly continue.
I guess that everybody was writing in the context of an ideal situation and about a person who eats healthy.
Ah, that makes more sense. I think that that is more reasonable.
Yeah, I agree with the fat-idea.
I hope that nobody gets me wrong. I am in support of breast feeding. I just don't want us to get complacent.
I wonder why nobody tries to sell breast milk for everybody, instead of just babies. Maybe it's too hard to ensure quality control.
Good video! (breastfeeding commercial? LOL) And the Japanese are thinner because they eat very small portions.

By Snowflake70 [Affiliate User] 1219262898 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI breastfed my first son for about 6 weeks and gave up. I was always worried he wasn't getting enough, and couldn't really tell if he was. I didn't breast feed my second son at all and he was actually much healthier than the first. He was on soy formula and has rarely been sick in his 11 years.
By ellelon [Affiliate User] 1219261580 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveMy first child I BF 8 months.
Second child about 14 months
Third child I am BF now he is 4 months. I plan to BF him for many more months.
I think BFing is the best thing for those little ones.
I breast feed my babies until they r 13-14 months old
By razerback121 [Affiliate User] 1219260182 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI ment to say that "it is a good idea to take vitamines".The Mother benifits in many ways, 1 way is that it also helps flatten her Belly. I'm anemic and I produced more than I or my baby could keep up with, lol. I just continued to take my prenatal vitamines and iron pills as I nursed, but a Doctor would be better to ask that question to. Always consult your doctor about anything and everything you have concerns about.
By dasiatrenne [Affiliate User] 1219259339 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveJust curious because I've heard breast feeding is more beneficial for the future when I do have kids.
By jetillian [Affiliate User] 1219258646 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI didnt breast feed my 1st child..which is 32yrs old now..but I did my 3 subsquent children.
