    i see...but i still curious - about the oil will not boil?or maybe because that's mineral oil?! Honestly i was excited and i want to try this cool tutorial, but i still doubt about the durability of my PC.

    How long have u take this cool research? Did u pass for 6 month and there's nothin bad happen to u'r PC ?

    Assuming the oil got into the hard drive, which is debatable, some people say oil wouldn't get in with most hard drives since it's airtight.

    Actually there's debate as to whether or not a hard drives actually have a an access hole for air that oil could get in through. But an SSD drive is definitely a safe bet.

    It should be able to, however people who have done this before have said that, while not conductive to the electricity running to the chip and back, the oil interferes with the contact of the pins to the socket, anyways a large heatsink is better than no heatsink at all, even in oil.

    Oil conducts heat better than air, so if you can air cool it, it'd be cooler in the oil (fans might break down though but that's a do or die thing, plus they aren't totally necessary)
