hands down the c-130 even with all it's upgrades is nothing like the one of the 50's an that plane still puts many transport planes to shame. it can do any thing. even from landign an taking off a carrier amazing. :)

My father was a load master on c130 in RAAF for years. I basically grew up on them, nothing better for RAAF kids to have Santa arrive in a C130 or hanging off the side of a Huey Gunship lol.

14,400,000 flight hours.... that is quite some time, they use the C-130 just about every where U.S troops are so I would say they are very safe.
