Continuation of the Concorde plane crash.
why did we not fly with the pilots and learn what they said?
This is the only air crash type program where they seem to have left that bit out...
Instead we got 4/5 witnesses telling us it was on fire when we knew that already.
....aaaaaaaand the F**king sound doesn't match......

By stormthorgerson [Affiliate User] 1211311864 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIf American crappy planes weren´t leaving pieces of S**t on the airports, there wouldn´t be any tire blown.
Amercican Retards caused Concorde Activities to cease, those americans were unable to build a similar plane...Losers.
Those incompetents blamed Concorde by its noise on US soil...bunch of LOSERS. If were Boeing you´ll S**king its wheels...
Those retards with their crappy technology caused the Concorde crash and all people dead. A DC-10 left a piece of its fuselage on the road.
stupid internal server error stop this from loading.

By Sanbar4 [Affiliate User] 1205319633 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI don't know what is more amazing.......that people think it is funny to pretend they know what happened by virtue of some technical (and bogus) information or that someone would believe it! It was determined that a piece of metal had fallen off of the flight that took off prior to Concorde. Concordes left side tires struck this piece of metal, the tire blew, through hunks of rubber upward and ruptured the fuel tank. The sparks and hot exhaust ignited Concorde. These are the facts.

By TonyAirlines [Affiliate User] 1201279852 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethe restriction pallete was disligned with the fuel tank, which punctured a hole along the lining of the tank. the fuel then travelled along, and lubricated the disfalage panel, which caused it to short circuit, and spark. the panel was too close to the jet turbine, and fire was struck on the turbine, and the fire spread from there on until it reached the fuel tank again, and exploded, causing gasses to deteriate metals, and that is how the plane crashed.

In some ways perhaps:
the plane was seriously overweight, taking off into a tail wind, missing an autoalignment spacer, and the FE shut down an engine without the captain's knowledge/permission. Remove any one of these situations, and it might very well have been able to fly outta that situation. Add them all up, and impact with terrain was inevitable.
i was at paris when that happend of course the crash site was miles away from my hotel. I was walking near my room when i saw a hotel staff "girl" crying. Next day my dad told me the news. Then i was just a kid i was realle afraid to fly back home. Let this never happen to neither of us.

By 450ITTlyrule [Affiliate User] 1198394128 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIt's been told very few airports contain gravel at the end of a runway. Ever experienced a bike on gravel? It's very difficult to move, same with airplanes. If a plane shoots past the runway (or perhaps in the situation of the Concorde) the gravel can stop it. However, not many airports consist of this very effective idea.
By arenaskies [Affiliate User] 1197497266 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyes tommy is right, all aircraft reach a descision speed during takeoff when the takeoff can no longer be stopped. Modern airliners have superb brakes that can stop a takeoff at a certain speed but once that is passed it cannot be stopped, quite scary. The pilots do monitor all engine readouts during takeoff but anything that was wrong must not have registered early enough.
By monkeyboy85 [Affiliate User] 1197431100 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveNo like i say the point at which there is enough time/room to stop has already been passed to stop the would result in a big accident at the end of the runway. Once you've commited to take off you have to deal with the problem in the air. In another accident at manchester airport there was an explosion on take off but the aircraft had not reached the 'point of no return' so so aircraft was stopped and the problem delt with on the ground.
