Bible God's Word? - Deedat Vs Swaggart 11 of 23

I am not a practising christian, and a have mixed feelings about Jimmy Swaggart. He may be ignorant. But the message he preaches is one of forgiveness, where Muslims preach beheading. And if the message of Allah is so great, why has it kept Muslim nations in the same state of existance, that they have been in for thousands of years? If Allah is great, he doesn't need hypocritcal Muslim men killing those who sin.

Oh its a pity that this tape was ruined by the subtitles!!! I now have a lot of respect for Mr Deedat but its now tarnished cos of all those subs...I would have enjoyed watching a debate had it been made by someone who wasnt of either belief...yes Jimmy Swaggart did a lot of wrong doing but who hasnt sinned?? instead of pulling the man down we should be praying for him...put it this way..would Mr Deedat pull him down??

the wisdom behind the sub titles is to make the christans realaize abt their misconceptions. for example the derogotory comments made by mr jimmy which many chrisitns may have, will see this video and realaize that they were horribly wrong and need to APOLOGIZE. got ppl<<<<

that no Bible scholar, priest, monk, or fellow televangelist would have been able to recover from these simple truths and deliver a convincing argument from the other side.

Although I understand your frustration at the decision to send in such a piss-poor representative of the Christian faith to argue it's strong points (I've seen Bible-Studies children that could have done a better job)I also believe that the flaws in Christianity's defenses (which were exposed during the course of this debate by Mr. Deedat) were so damaging,

For example, when Swaggart is talking about how Jesus can't be a Prophet and a liar at the same time, all the subtitles do is (playfully) remind you that Swaggart is going off topic (as the original debate was about whether or not the Bible is God's Written Word, not about the factuality of what came out of Jesus Christ's mouth)and I think it adds humor to an otherwise idiotic attempt to challenge a man who appears to have actually done his research, as opposed to this joker.

I wouldn't say the subtitles are propaganda... I am not Muslim, and I would say the subtitles just point (rather obvious) things out for the viewer, kind of as how you would to one of your friends if you caught a politician bullshitting in an interview.

Might I add that I think Swaggart is an idiot, and I really hate that he is the one debating this issue. I can't think of a less credible 'Christian.'

The subtitles are to show the truth about Islam and not the lies Mr. Swaggart spewed!

I am a Christian. Jimmy Swaggart is not a true Christian. He is full of crap. I would have no problem with this debate (which Deedat did a better job of arguing his case in) except for the Muslim propoganda subtitles seen throughout. Yes, I realize it was made by Muslims and everyone pushes their point of view. I just wish it was shown with non-partisan subtitles so that people might use their own minds to decide.

no brother, a lot of elements of christianity are indeed true, and a lot of it is mixed with falsehood as well. It isn't 100% false though.
