    after the rebuilt engine is in the car, the cooling system must be properly bled (air removed from system). this involves about a 15+ minute process of holding the engine at 2500 rpm, and at one point revving the engine to 5000 rpm briefly every 30 seconds. 'breaking in' an engine is disparate from type to type and manufacturer to manufacturer, but in the Boxsters case, this is part of the beginning of it's reborn life.

    Whats the proper rev process once you finish rebuilding an engine? I've heard that you take it in stages: 2k rpm for a bit, 4k rpm for a bit, 6k rpm for a bit, max it out for a few sec. then turn it off and drain the oil. This right?
