ya i never tie bowlines like the vid anyway I do the faster onehanded method and I never have to think about which way to wrap the line. I wasnt taught the "rabbit" method (the on in the vid) until later

sorry i used to have a problem with that. i wanted to make sure other people didn't keep on makeing that mistake but apperently i still make that mistake. the thing is you can tie a bowline by doing a sheetbend on a bite but it doesn't take the load as nicely because the ins and outs are wrong, even though the knot is right. again sorry about that, and i acted to fastly. when he did the bowline he should have ended with the bitter end on the outside not the inside.

yeah the music was jamming, but why are there no quick release knots? under stress the rope becomes too hard to remove and I don't like wasting rope.

If only 7 then a sheepshank should be around 30 - really not terribly useful. A truckers hitch is number one.
