lmao, I hear you, and I can't sweep worth S**t , I prefer string skipping even to that, but yeah, people who I've jammed with would always try to get down on me because I couldn't sweep and they'd try to show it off, and whenever we jammed, they couldn't improv with it at all. But yay for people who don't make sweeps out to be something "frickin' amazing!"

I have the DVD and the sound is great, each instruments volume is close to equal. Beyondthenotes712 pointed out why the guitar's volumes sound so off.

Yeh, you've gotta put a lot of time in it, otherwise you won't be able to use it in improvisation. And if you can't, it's more or less useless, unless you only wanna play covers exactly like the original.

i just learned how to sweep, it isnt that big of a deal.

i mean, im not great at it, but really its just a wierd picking motion.

i think sweeps work to the detriment of most guitarists because they're worthless unless they're used properly (see Sloe Gin, Bonamassa)

You actually have no idea what you're talking about. Listen to any video interview of Steve, he is incredibly modest about his playing. His guitar is the loudest because he is the main focus - its called the "STEVE VAI BAND" - the other guitars are rhythm, if they were louder you wouldn't be able to hear him! Absolute retard!!

I'm learning myself :D I suffer from a great inability to succeed in sweeping. But it'll come, my alternate is cool though and my phrasing rocks :D

Yeah, sorry about the sound quality, in the original both Tony and Dave's guitars are much louder

His guitar is louder because the guy who posted this posted it in 5.1, not stereo, so the mixing is screwed up. Steve is one of the most humble guitar heroes I've ever met.

Phail, I don't think he can do it anymore. At his level he's practiced so hard, that playing right becomes easier that failing :D
