Most casual Supremes fans aren't aware of this pop gem from early in their career..."Buttered Popcorn". Featured on the album "Meet The Supremes", it was released as a single, but not promoted avidly. Apparently Berry Gordy, Jr. felt that this sound didn't reflect how he wanted the public to identify with The Supremes. Florence Ballard is singing lead on this wild number, which has become one of my favorites.

I have used some live footage of my hot-air popper, some old drive-in popcorn promos, a few other drive-in foods, and some photos of the Supremes to illustrate the track.
