  • I found a re-run of ...

I found a re-run of the weekly series on the BBC cable channel the other night and watched it with my 12 yr old son. He thought it was pretty good until the skit with the pretty young blond cashier who worked topless. After that, he laughed much harder and remarked to me that we have to find out when this show is on again... Hey, all in the name of good comedy!

  • Man, all these ...

Man, all these actors, directors, creators, etc. were inspired by Monty Python. Not a surprise, but The Simpsons being based on it? Wow, that's amazing! Of course, part of my humor, my LIFE has been based on Monty Python's acts.

  • I agree with all of ...

I agree with all of the posters asking "where are all of the women?" because frankly, Monty Python influenced ALL comedy, not just male american comedy, but all comedy around the world and I can't help thinking that there must be at least one prominent female comedian who would consider MP as her inspiration and willing to talk about it... unless we're totally going against the statistics here and there just wasn't any funny ladies to to talk to.

  • why aren't there ...

why aren't there any women being interviewed?

I'm a girl and me an tons of my friends LOVE Monty Python!

This is another annoying thing about being a girl, guys just assume we girls don't get this and they have this boring stereotype vision of girls being silly and fun and/or dumb while guys have a sense of humour.

ok.....had to get this out of my system.

'Or you just have a problem with Americans'

American comedy, although brilliant at times, is enevitably formatted, very staged, planned, copied from previous other American comedys alot, and usually has to be americanised 100% as Americans will usually make no effort to understand another cultures point of view, python is a big exception here.
