Kamal acted and only famous in Tamil Nadu.. - he has acted in other south indian language movies and in hindi movies like ek duje ke liye, saagar and others.

ya but can i ask something my friend why i rajini is know world class...i mean a step to hollywood movies,i know he plays a special appearance but what about kamal...acted and only famous in tamil nadu...talking about quality first ask him to have a quality lifestyle and then ask him to talk about culture..last but not least yeppe vanto ne mukiam yele ipedi peru vanguro tha mukiyem...

Agreed with your stats regarding rajinis pay..but there is also something called "Quality"..Kamal is synonymous with Quality..lets not get into the same with regards to Rajini...Salary does not necessarily translate into quality cinema..just my two cents..

I think people have to understand the class of actors. Kamal is perhaps the greatest actor ever to grace the Indian film industry. (similar issues with Shivaji and MGR?)Kamal has proved with his roles that he is happy not to look for the big dollar(or rupee) but act for the acting, challenge the norms his movies have bombed and also made a lot of money.
Whereas Rajini is good...he was an actor for the mass public..great for 2 and 1/2 hours of escapism etc.
Just enjoy both guys...
