Twelfth video. This is the background music for the eighth and final regular dungeon of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. As it is shaped like a Turtle and one would have to battle a giant turtle's head just to get inside, this dungeon is appopriately called Turtle Rock.

Turtle Rock isn't as confusing as Eagle Tower, but the enemies are somewhat more difficult. The part about Turtle Rock that sticks out in my mind is that old minibosses (ranging from the Smasher of Face Shrine to good ol' Rolling Bones from Tail Cave) are recycled here. In addition, Turtle Rock is the only dungeon with Winged Demons and Blaino, a miniboss who can send you all the way back to the entrance of the dungeon with a single punch. Interestingly, both the Winged Demons and Blaino become principal characters later on in the Oracle games.

This is the last dungeon with a Sirens' Instrument; however, I promised to do the Inside of the Wind Fish's Egg since it's also a quasi-dungeon and I like its theme ... a lot. After that, I'm planning to move on to the Oracle dungeons, so I hope you look forward to that and enjoy this video of Turtle Rock.

Very well done! It makes me think that the gameboys were the actual sounds made for the game, because it fits so PERFECTLY for it. I remember this level so well. I used to try and destroy all the ice blocks with the fire rod every time I went through an ice room. I did manage to do it though, I never left a room with ice blocks in it. =P
