Nunchaku Freestyle

I think its pretty evident that all martial arts involves the reality of physics. Obviously Kata is for muscle memory. I don't think that Kata's have no application but they are also not a highly logical way to train for a fight. A fight is spontaneous and free but a kata is fixed and rigid. Drilling individual martial arts tools in a variety of circumstances in the pinnacle of combat training.

actually kata is for muscle memory and is used in both weapons forms and empty hand forms. didnt intend to tick you off or anything i study Matayoshi kobudo, and shorin ryu karate do. as for the physics i never mentioned it. shuto uk

There is no real regulation weight for nunchucks.
Some are made of light wood and others of heavy metals. Some moves actually go faster with heavy chucks because of momentum but they are difficult to control. I would say these are illunimum though.

What are you some kind of martial-anus. Obviously his weapon is durable and has virtually the same reach as the antiquated rice flail you are referring to.

i reckon there whats called speedchucks dude. my nunchaku are alot thicker speed chucks have a shorter string too. your right nobody is 100% on th video but if you check out the different sorts then thats where its looking.

good for a freestylist oh and those are where you get the term speedchuck probably alumminum and thinner than traditional chucks so you can spin faster with less wind resistance. check out some traditional nunchuku kata and you will see that they spend a great deal on strikes and not on spinning because the nunchukus tend to bounce back when you strike something and learning to control that is important to the users health.
