I think its strange that car and driver are so biased towards the evo, and they're numbers don't match at all with any of the other driver magazines evo numbers. Edmunds inside line had alot better numbers for the STI and not so good numbers for the EVO... and after watching the cars in japan racing... the STI was definately the quicker car. But of course that was in Japan. I think both the cars are ugly... evo 9 all the WAY!

The R32 is a touring car with better quality and workmanship. The mitsubishi and Subaru are all out performance cars. You can't comment on any of these cars unless you own one of them.

you must be fuckin retarded to even put a golf r32 with cars like EVO and STI, you can't even put it near a wrx.its at a whole nother level.put the r32 with a mazda 3 or a focus ST, even if its AWD

The new R32 only comes with DSG in AMERICA. Europe gets DSG AND manual. Research before you talk.

I agree. The R32 only comes with an automatic gearbox. No thanks. And the STI is sooooo ugly and soft. I'd pay MORE to have the Evo GSR... and it's thousands less! Awesome.

this is strange i know the evo drives better in corners and stuff than the sti but it has faster acceleration. i dont know whats wrong with car and driver. The VW cant even compete with either i dont know why they put it. They must hate subaru and they must be biased towars evo

You know very little beyond your subaru fan boy stats. The R32 rolls with AWD, 4Motion. It weighs around 3,500lbs... it is not small.

I test drove the evo x and its not that bad but the looks are really really gay.... my audi a4 2.0t is a lot better looking....

Wtf thats bullspit, i would understand them choosing the evo for first like all the other magazines.. but damn... How does the STi have the same G's no the skidpad as the fwd R32?? Plus how the hell is the STi's acceleration 5 seconds to 60 while the evo is 4.6??? Plus they got the STi with the rims and nav option while the evo x had NO options... Plus the R32 is waay to small... Biased as hell...

Obviously it does compare. It beat the STI and lost to the Evo by just 2 points, in the full comparo.

Of course the EVO is going to be cheaper than the R32 and the Sti. It has no options. Dummies I tell ya.
I think it's fair to claim the Evo the winner.
And the only reason these three cars were compare now is because they were also compared together back in 2004.

I think it just comes down to what you use the car for. My Evo X is basically a track car...driven maybe once a week while I have a commuter and motorcycle for work. I think everyone beats up the Evo for having a cheap interior...but honestly the interior is MUCH better than my old Evo VIII. I guess it's kinda nit picking because the rest of the car is so well done. And this isn't fanboy talk...it's well documented that the X is a great car.
