"Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
For it was the Lord Jesus who was first persecuted, than His Apostles, and the rest of His followers who are scattered across this planet. For when do we hear of Christians burning mosques with worshipping Muslims in them?

Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

And may His voice continually ring in our ears, and to those Christians who are living His life in being persecuted around the world for their faith: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.

for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you?

He manifested His love for us at the Holy Cross and His words ring resonantly in our ears till this day saying: "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.

And St. John the Theologian having heard the Voice of the Lord Jesus calls us saying:
"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love."

"...with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."

For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.

And St. Paul echoing His words says:
"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

"This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you." (John 15)

Lets see here, the Lord Jesus forgave those who crucified Him, forgave the adulteress who was to be stoned, He healed the ear of him who delivered Him to death, He was spat on and whipped, and hanged to die for the salvation of the world. His message was of Love saying:
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

Its too bad because you will not find verses asking for things like that. If I read both the Bible and the Qur'an with the correct hermeunitics, and keeping in mind the Qur'anic doctrine of Naskh, I will be left with nothing but to conclude that Islam is fundamentally a violent religion. There is no possible way you can find any colateral words coming out of the founder of Islam (Muhammad) with the founder of Christianity (Jesus).

2...By the same rationale any muslim who believes to live in complete islamic state you need to destroy the "kuffah" would also be considered fundamentalist or extremists and therefore niether you nor I can condem the floowers of this religion. Also for you to use the word prophet in invertted comma's when the amount of evidence and proof eqautes to that of any religions prophet again just demonstrates you ignorance and intolerance

god help me. Anyone who takes text written thousands of years ago by cmplete literal meaning is generally by today standards condsidered a fundamentalist. For example christians who still believe gays should burn in hell and any free thinking woman is a pagan witch would generally be considered so...

?? No its quite clear that those verses are meant to call people to wage to war. At least read the revered Islamic scholars who interpret them that way, especially those who lived in the "prophet's" time.

well as far as im aware muslims belief system teaches nothing of hate dependent on which direction you poin the compass;whether that be the west north or whatever. As far as im aware any hatred felt for the west is due to the hypocrisy felt toward western nations who consider themselves christina nations...

There is nothing intrinsic about belief that makes it have to be violent. By MOST ACCOUNTS, you say. So that does not rule out that there might be a religion based on hatred, or at least infiltrated itself by a lot of it. T.V.? If I listened to TV too much I would believe that it was only extremists that were like that. I lived among Muslims in the Middle East and understand their book and what their religion says very much. Maybe you should be a little more honest with yourself.

When I say fundamentals it means basis. Religion does not have to be peaceful. I could be very clever and gaining support for a religion and then bring up an image of domination and destruction of those who do not comply with the new religion.

I never said the basis of all religions are peaceful but the fundamentals of them are. Iam not defending anyone least of all myself merley telling you that no religion has a monopoly on either hate or peace, and a few bad apples do not tarnish the basis of any religion which by most accounts do stand for peace. You clearly listen to your t.v a little too much

Now I simply ask you on what basis do you say "all religions are peaceful"? There is no reason to say this. I am sorry to say that you belong to the same group of people who want to murder people in the West. If you don't want to associate with them, then you better stop defending yourself as if it was you who I was condemning.

That is not true, there are certain religions, if one goes back to their fundamentals to see, who call for the warfare of infidels, it is only though the reasonableness of certain people who ignore such statements that they keep peace with others.

blatant naivity and ignornace from someone who believes there religion has the handel on innocence and purity. it is not your place to blame a belief system on the supposed actions of those acting on behalf of them. Whether it was muslims or not no religious belief teaches warfare and none are deviod of doing so. Keep your ignorant messages of blame to yourself
