Yeah, he does, but given the way he's written, plus how he's been spoken to and about, it's pretty clear he's meant to be a kid.

I figure some monsters just get deep voices at a much earlier age than humans. :)

Yeah, Gladys and Hoots have recently come back from oblivion, at least for a little bit. And who knows, maybe Guy Smiley will show up one of these days, since he recently appeared in a "Reading Is Important"-type promo--with a different puppeteer, of course.

But I can't see Biff coming back, and Kermit is pretty much out of this show for good because of legal issues.

(heck, even Ernie went on a 3-year hiatus after Jim Henson died, before the new guy started taking over)
