    Just the same thing that happened to Kevin Everett this weekend. Jeff collided with another football player, helmet to helmet, back during a game with the Patriots in '89. The collision fractured his vertebrae and tore the nerve endings near his neck and shoulder. This incident ended his career. Fortunately, he was able to walk but he was unable to use one of his arms.
