Yes! I had a dodgy DV tape which had a few drop-outs. It caused a bit of a headache trying to match up the sound. Apart from that, no other sync issues. I read somewhere that if you use a camcorder with a crystal-engine, sync issues are not an issue.

  • Rick, have you had ...

Rick, have you had any A/V sync issues with your H2? I've read many places online that after a few minutes the audio and video are out of sync. Obviously you can fix it in editing but it takes time. Have you experienced this and do you still like the H2?

Rick, have you experienced any video/audio sync issues with your H2 mic? I've read online alot about this, but, I am still thinking about getting one. Any problems out of it or do you still like it? Thanks.

  • Very informative ...

    Very informative video

a low budget tip for a self made boom

take 2 rings from like rain pipes

you put the rubber bands bands around the rings so it can hold the mic in 2 places

now with a little creativity attach the rings to the boom and you have a cheap solution to isolate the mic from the boom great for sensitive mics

    hope it makes sense lol

  • Being in the film ...

Being in the film business and audio engineering, i personally would go with the H4 zoom. I own one for my own field recording, its editing of effects is far superior to the h2, not to mention the x/y pattern mics. Also, and the biggest reason is the fact that the h4 has 2 xlr inputs with phantom power, Which will be needed if your working with quality mics.

  • Not sure but most ...

Not sure but most of the reviews I read favoured the H2 over the H4, plus the H4 is a lot more money.
