There are various situations where professionalism and being a fan should be thrown out the window. If tying or winning a game doesn't do it nothing will, it's the world juniors and it is canada and a canadian network is broadcasting the game. I have listened to Pierre McGuire's coverage both on TSN and also on NBC and it is just too negative at times and almost seems like he is favoriting teams. I honestly don't feel Pierre McGuire is that great. He should have let the fans enjoy it longer

Wow take it easy. The commentating was great. I'd expect them to keep doing their jobs especially when something like this happens. You can celebrate all you want. You don't have to listen to him because he's talking. I don't get what your issue is here. Do you just not like McGuire?

I'm sick of people hating on Pierre Maguire. I mean, he's a colour commentator. He was doing his job. He had to keep his emotions in check. Unlike that nerd Gord Miller who nearly had a freakin' orgasm over the goal. I mean, you're a professional first, and a fan after.

Ellis, Tavares, Hodgson and Eberle were all huge in that play. Honestly, Pierre McGuire should have kept his mouth shut for a few seconds and let the fans revel in this moment. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? It's rhetorical Pierre, not meant for a direct answer. Wow, he screws up spotlight moments.

McGuire is just there to promote players... how he didn't go nuts is completely a downer. Gord Miller went nuts and McGuire brought him down too bad.
