This is part 3, please watch parts 1 & 2 to see how I built this. The testing continues. I have seen alot of you mounting your solar heaters on a flat wall, so I did the same thing. If you angle your box towards the sun you can increase your temp dramatically. The concern I have now is if I tilt the box I could damage my intake and exhaust tubes.

    I used Surebond sb-1800 everflex bondaprene. You can get it from Mor Heating assoc In MICH (616)-784-1121 (it's 6.54 a tube) You will need 4 tubes.

    That fan has a brushed motor the brushes in mind cut into the commutator in about two weeks, I put a 120mm brushless in the housing.Nice job good info what did u use to put the cans together thanks?

    to figure the proper angle to mount your box get the latitude of your location...google it..then add 15 degrees...so if your latitude is 35.77 degrees..(my location) + 15 the correct angle of my heater should be 51.33 degrees facing south...i built my box using gavalume corrugated roofing material as a heat sink instead of cans...here in tennessee i figured we get good sun and the winter temps are mild so it should be sufficient..im ranging 130 to 160 degree heat on a sunny day...
