It might make sense for one color to be for the Hauptwerk, another for the Ruckpositiv, and yet another for the pedal.

    >I wonder if a perfect midi file exists of this work, and how it would sound and look.

If by "perfect" you mean "identical to the notation," there's the issue of trills, for which there's no agreement about what "perfect" would mean. Ignoring the trills, the score would look much more regular (all notes of the same note value being exactly the same length, each note starting where the previous one ended), and it would sound mechanical, inexpressive and mushy.

  • >the midi is not ...

    >the midi is not edited to perfection

The MIDI is from a performance, or, rather, three performances, one for each voice, and edited only to bring them into better alignment.

  • I am just learning ...

I am just learning music, but know a lot about programming. I was noticing that you used a midi file for the video. But the midi is not edited to perfection, which is nice too. I wonder if a perfect midi file exists of this work, and how it would sound and look.

If I have everything I need (audio, MIDI), it takes an hour or two. If I have to make a recording (like with Marvel Not, Joseph, that I'm working on now), it can take a day or more.

  • To "see" the music ...

To "see" the music like this can help young people apreciate it and learn it. This gives the music a "solid substance" for lack of a better word, take these graphics, add some letters at the notes, make it where you can control the speed, and you would have the the best music teaching tool in the world. his is phenominal!
