Whenever America goes to war, there is the stated justification that they publicize, and there is always a selfish reason that is the real one. The U.S. helped to create the situation in Somalia by propping up ruthless, brutal dictator Siad Barre. France, Britain, and Italy all share in the blame for their colonial misdeeds and gerymandering the borders according to their interestes. Understand, also, that my previous comment was in response to someone's comment that "we should destroy Islam".

I think Sam Kinison had the right idea about Somalia.

About the Islamic calendar - I'll just post an explanation I've found

This doesn't prove Muhammed's "greatness", but just a different use of a calendar (confusing too).
