"Into the Groove(y)" was a single of Madonna covers from Mike Watt and Sonic Youth's side-project Ciccone Youth. It was released in 1986 on New Alliance Records. The Whitey Album is a 1988 album by Ciccone Youth, a side project of Sonic Youth. The album is a tongue-in-cheek tribute to Madonna and 80s pop in general. Beatbox and samplers/sequencers are the foundation of the recording but Sonic Youth references still manage to permeate throughout. Madonna's last name is Ciccone.
