and i always thot atomic testing was only conducted in the far western deserts. i [and millions of other americans] never was told about this. jeez, dick "buckshot" cheney must have been involved..
If I remember correctly the Threshold Treaty had been thought up or something for ages before it was done, other than that they had also done this test to see if you could 'fake' a signal, by making the seismic signature look smaller than the device actually generated, so I suppose that could be what he was referring to.

The problem here is that the Salmon and Sterling tests were conducted in 1964 and 66. So in other words, he has doo-doo on his face.

It is also very interesting to know that 40+ years ago they had a camera like the one used in the video. The cameras that the public had were Brownies, not even close to what was used in this video.

Also, I noted later in "Atomic Journeys" that the US tested devices in the megaton range (namely, Fautless and Cannakin). Was there an alteration to the Limited Test Ban that allowed for these tests?
