The reason I wondered is because my sister is a suit at a riverboat casino in the Greater Cincinnati area, and she says that the casino has a policy of firing dealers who lose a certain amount of money to a customer.

I cant see why he should be fired. He isnt doing anything wrong. If the casino suspects them cheating it isnt the dealers resonsability to react. Its the staff watching the monitors.
All the dealer is doing is doing his job.

The casinos only use the cards that range from 2 through ace. They always remove the jokers and other irrelevant cards out of the deck before shuffling and dealing it because having unnecessary cards result in a slower, more annoying, and less lucrative game for the casino.
