Thanks for sharing the memories. Great video. Most Vietnam vets that I have talked or listened to have both good and bad memories of their time in Vietnam(only combat vets can call it "Nam"..LOL). I guess you could call it bittersweet. Peace. Thanks again..excellent video.

The Vietnam vets were the bravest of the brave and toughest of the tough. While I am fiercely anti-war(unjust wars that is),I still always give support to the brave soldiers who fight. I am especially fond of the Vietnam vets who fought horrific conditions,idiotic rules of engagement and pitiful leaders..yet still performed admirably. You can be opposed to war but support the troops. Politicians start wars..but the poor fight them.

Welcome home! Did 8 months (1st Cav infantry '67-'68) in Bong Son area before Quang Tri/Khe Sanh. English was battalion HQ but only saw like every 30 days for showers. Even then: guard duty @ night & burned friggin' sh___ers after breakfast. Figured we were abused (it was rear-echelon s__t)so loved it when breeze filled mess tent with beautiful, black billows. We did a week of guard duty @ bridge & entire platoon got crotch-crickets @ two-holer. Hope Charlie blew it, too.

Really good video. My father-in-law was a jet jock and spent a year there. Unfortunately he never talked about it and when going through his stuff after he died we found photos, a DFC and Air medals in a box, but not enough to really understand what he did or experienced. I wish he had done something like this video so his grandkids could know him better. Unfortunately without info from him, their impression of vietnam vets comes from "Apocolypse Now".

Thanks for posting. Brings back a ton of memories. I was at English. MPs. Went from there to N.English and down to Uplift. Remember when they blew it up. I was even in the compound shown in your post. Very well done. John

Air Force rescue/recovery medic .. was in country 11 months 14 days....spent more time with the 1st Marines and Army 101st, than with fly boy units. We did it all and we all have the memories. Good Job!

Thanks My Doggie Brother for the memories...I was there in 68' up North in Phu Bai/Hue(Marines) ..found out my daughter was born 10 days after her birth and went to Hawaii on R&R in 1968...we are alike but in different services...brought back alot of memories when your pics of the convoy...you were 20 in 1970 ..I was 20 in 1968...in Hawaii they wouldn't let my wife in to the Don Ho show because she was as too young...glad you made in back my VietNam brother
