Brainiac - Cooking an Egg With 200 Mobile Phones

sigh...yeah...good thing a city like dallas doesn't have more than a few thousand people in it.

I knew it wouldn't work and even if it did how would we know if that egg wasn't hard boiled before they did this experiment

i think that you can not ring 100 mobile phones at one time, one place. the network can not serve so many calls

YES a phone can microwave an egg but you have not said anything about the time it takes! It will take a very long time indeed!!!

No they weren't but the also count 2 phones in the experiment that "cooked" the egg but there was only one on it ;)

The point here is that there is not enough radiation in a cell phone to heat up ANYTHING! The only heat you feel is the battery heating up when in use. The battery heats up because is is emitting ELECTRONS of DC VOLTAGE, NOT radiation.

It's foolish. Cell phone emits maximum power when it's transmitting voice/data. Power is maximum when the signal of BTS is week - each cell phone adjusts it to the current conditions to reduce the power consumption. They just rang the phones, so actually very little power was transmitted.

I don't see why 50 of the phones can't call the other 50.

mlaygo, here in Slovenia a couple of scientists tried it in the same way as the Russians and they left the line open for 2hrs and nothing happened, like I said the key is the HiFi in the background (of the original video) you simply cannot do this only with 2 mobile phones.

Maybe it did'nt work because the calls were not long enough.

So using some speakers or better yet a HiFi that in the process captures that compressed infromation from the mobile phone then it probably would be possible.
