This is me using my Sixaxis PS3 controller on my PSP. the controller is not directly plugged into my psp, it is plugged into my computer and my psp is also plugged into my computer.

Game: Wipeout Pure

Music: 05 - "Polynormal-C" - Aphex Twin

TUTORIAL:

YOU WILL NEED TO FOLLOW THE TUTORIAL LINKED BELOW FIRST FOR THIS TO WORK. COMPLETE THAT TUTORIAL FIRST AND COMEBACK TO THIS.

As far as i know this should work on a Slim and Lite PSP, but my slim one isnt homebrew enabled so i cant check.

JoyToKey
http://www.electracode.com/4/joy2key/JoyToKey%20English%20Version.htm
this is used to map a PCs USB controller to keys on the PCs keyboard. this program was made to allow people to use a PC controller on PC games without USB controller support.

ps3sixaxis_en.exe
http://files.filefront.com/ps3sixaxis+enexe/;7121593;/fileinfo.html
This needs to be run when your ps3s SixaxiS controller is plugged into your PC via the USB cable that comes with the PS3. this needs to be run everytime you plug it in. you also need to press the PS button on the Sixaxis controller to turn the controller on.

libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.10.1.exe
http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?group_id=78138&use_mirror=kent&filename=libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.12.1.exe&79321246
This is the driver for the PS3 SixaxiS

iR Shell on the PSP.
This is a shell for the PSP that needs to be run first. This needs to be installed on the Memory Stick of a homebrew enabled psp (eg: the M33 custom firmwares)
The PSP wont output its screen untill RemoteJoy4IRS is open on the pc, the PSP is plugged in to the PC via USB cable and IR Shell is running on the PSP. IR Shell first needs to be setup properly first.
all of this is coverd in the tutorial linked below, although if you were following the instructions above then you should have already done all of that.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ii6pAAjjvA&feature=related

Make sure your PSP and your PS3s SixaxiS controller are both plugged into your PC via seprate USB cables, run RemoteJoy on the PC, run IR Shell on the PSP, run Ps3sixaxis_en.exe, run JoyToKey, setup JoyToKey to match the buttons on the PS3s SixaxiS controller and your away.
only homebrew and anything else that work through IR Shell can be used and you will be cut off if you close IR Shell.

I recently bricked my PSP (this cant brick your PSP btw) and had to use pandora to recover it, i only have 1 memory stick so i lost everything on there. this is the only reason i havn't made a proper video tutorial on how to do this yet. i will do someday.
