MANDI IS ONE MY FVT HINDI MOVIE.. Mandi is a classic n a rare diomond of indian cinema (atleast to ME)... Parallel Cinema with some comedy too.. hats off to Shyam Benegaln the writer Prof. Rangla (who was a lecturer in the same college where i work :) my fvt prforamnce of Shabana Azmi...she is amazing in the movie...
Also, this movie has the famous ladies who played prostitutes like Ila Arun, Neena Gupta, Soni Razdan, Anita Kanwar..lots of gems together.. also naseeruddin shah as just a dumbo servant (nice performance to see)

    You should watch Ankur (which is available on youtube), it's Shyam Benegal's best film and one of shabana's finest performances.
