Dire Straits & Eric Clapton - I Think I Love You Too Much

I was just a slip of a 13 year old lad on holiday in Cornwall when this was aired live on TV. I remember staying in that night just to watch Straits play, it's great to see it again. Quite possibly the best song Straits never recorded. Not sure about the pink suit, Eric.
Does anyone else reckon it's way past time for a Straits reunion tour? :0)=)

great tune and great guitar work. this is, as you may be aware, at knebworth. if you haven't watched the whole concert, ec played first and introduced mk to come on stage and then mk introduced elton john and they all played together for a couple of numbers. i like both mk and ec myself, although i know there are so many guitarists who are also considered amongst the greatest too, from the likes of srk to hendrix. in this number, i find mk's work is probably better.

To all the negative comments I've managed to acquire simply by mentioning the numbers in Rollingstone Magazine, as if it matters to anyone, Mark is my favorite musician and writer, hands down. I love all of his songs, could never just pick one. However, Layla is my favorite song of all time as well as In My Life. I've been around for a while and I'm entitled to my opinion. The language you've all displayed, I gave up when I was maybe 20. Says something about maturity, huh?

It's great to see 2 guitarist that can compliment each others style as good as these 2 can! EC was the guest this time and MK was the master! Seen a EC concert with MK as guest and they reversed the roles! I guess it's whose sandbox you're playing in at he moment. Knopfler is a true genius at work here! Thanks for this Leksingen!

Clapton is a legend, and changed with Hendrix the way the guitarists play the guitar...
But Knopfler is a true Master : he's giving a great lesson of guitar playing, with virtuosity AND feeling, musicality... a real genius.
