This is a "how to" video in response to someone else's video where they asked for someone to make one!

This is the zelda theme as I play it. It's more basic than the way most arrangements are on YouTube, and the end is very rough (partly because I don't have a sustain pedal).

I play it regular, then slower, and then even slower. I didn't explain anything out loud this time because there isn't really much that can be explained in words without taking forever.

I play almost all of the bass in octaves (that means playing higher and lower of the same note with one hand) just because I think it sounds more full that way. If it hurts your hand or doesn't sound good to you, just don't do it.

Don't hold your hands the same way as me, they're awkward in an attempt to show the camera the keys better. You'll hurt yourself. Also, really really sorry for my head being in the way when I'm playing it regular. Oops.

Hopefully this is a good start to people who want to learn the Zelda theme. :)

  • it's great that you ...

it's great that you are starting piano, but if i may add something.......usually notes are written as sheet music. When you do teh Bb-C-E-A.... it's very difficult, because there are MULTIPLE A's B's Cs...on the keyboard.

You wouldn't know in which octave the note is. I would recommend, if you can't learn from this vid, then browse through others as well, to supplement it. When i perfect mine, i can upload a tutorial with notes if you want. PM for further info. cheers

there is another hand missing the ones that goes whit the melody in D, but for me its impossible to do this so i have to record the left hand first and then play the A# melody and D acompanient whit both hands then the song kick ass.
