I wanted to add that there were tanks that were hitting the Hyatt Regency Hotel (The bgi glass bulding you see in the opening of the Dallad TV series. This is ACROSS the interstate several hundred yards from this site. It was utterly spectacular. This place was grandfathered in with the zoning years ago, btu will now be relocating AWAY from the downtown area, obviously...LOL.

I am a courier and came up on this just as it started...it was terrifying, yet cool at the same time. Tanks and debris were falling like rain. It was amazing to see them shoot into the air & explode like large fireworks. Cars going by were VERY close. This place was on Industrial Blvd in downtown, right where I-30 and I-35 converge right under the Hwy. There already is jammed traffic in this area. Imagine what it was like when they shut down BOTH interstates, due to flying tanks and debris.

Pure compressed acetylene in a tank is even more dangerous. Without the acetone and "spongey" mass it would be instabel as hell and would blow up just with filling the acetylene into the tank. With the acetone and mass, the tank is still dangerous, when u would drop the tank if u are transporting it, it can give an reaction to the acetylene, the tank can heat up inside and u better get the hell out because u wont survive the explosion that comes with it from that single tank. They are like bombs

It would be much more violent if the acetylene wasn't dissolved in acetone and stored in a spongey mineral. Think what it what have looked like with pure compressed acytelene.
