  • A first run ...

    A first run algorithm is very very simple. You would compare the most recent image to a trailing average and shoot at the area of the image that has most changed. A slightly more complicated improvement would be able to identify image changes as a result of camera movement, which would also help in range finding.

    You will notice that it doesn't shoot when there is an exposed body part unless that part is moving. I would also suspect it is poor at compensating for different depths of target.

    How much did the paintball gun you used weigh? Is the program adjustable for gun weight? I figure if an airsoft puts an LMG on it like an M249 (which weighs about 15 lbs depending on what brand etc.) was put on it might end up drifting if the mounting doesn't have sufficient braking.
