The Dynamic Architecture building, which will be constantly in motion changing its shape, will be able to generate electric energy for itself as well as for other buildings.

  • This is really ...

This is really really cool but I agree with the guy below me...1900 people don't deserve to loose their jobs.

No wonder the economy is taking a crap...

  • anyone who thinks ...

anyone who thinks this actually might work is a complete retard. im not sure if you idiots realise this, but buildings are made of tons (a ton is 2000lbs for those of you who live in arkanas) of steel. 77 little dinky wind turbines will NOT let 78 floors move 24/7. sry, but this idea fails. good bye.

  • I don't understand ...

I don't understand why they have to build such a uber expensive building while other people don't even have a normal house. But it looks quite cool though^^

  • 1. The center can ...

    1. The center can be used for elevators, plumbing, access to turbines.

    2. The turbines would be built on the higher floors; low turbines would be near useless. Birds already get hit by current turbines.

    4. Again, plumbing and cables would go through the central column. However, you do have a point: I have no idea how they would attach to a rotating platform.

    5. As in window washing? Not sure, there would probably be a "standstill day" where that takes place, and all rooms must stay still.

  • 77 wind turbines ...

77 wind turbines cant power a moving building, just supplying normal electrical use would be nearly impossible. Turbines are still relatively inefficient there will need huge mounts of extra power from outside sources. Cool idea but it a long way into the future.

  • So the buildong ...

So the buildong that can create it's own energy and takes less ppl to build is stupid, and useles ? Im sure the core will have emergency stairs and all the necesarry things.Think of it, if a building can supply energy for itself and even for other buildings there will be no more use for all those other powerplants. This particular building will be expensive because it is a LUXURY building.

Great concept - powers itself, powers loads of other stuff. Looks really cool. Definitely a step forward in building design.

  • It a fantasy ...

It a fantasy concept with many challenges ahead:

    1. It seems it will require huge fixed central column to counter loads like wind in order to gain small rotating rooms on the outskirt, but what space usages designed for the central column?

    2. The turbines produce less energy closer to the ground and possibly not enough to rotate all floors with possible bird strike.

    4. Connection between floors like lift, emergency exit (stairs), plumbing, electrics, cables and etc.

    5. Maintenance.
