    McCain was fortunate to have enough clout to stay out of prison.

    I always wonder how effective this kind of debate is. I may be wrong, but it seems that all the congressmen/women have already made up their mind even before the bill is available to them. Is this just a political theater?

    P.S. Now I know that the Fed still have the unabated authority to print money. So 700 billion or not, it's still able to rip you off, either by sticking the bill to you, or by inflation.
