The composer decides the bow strokes not the artist.

My remarks are generally in earnest and at least attemptedly incisive and substantive.

But I shall now make my semi-monthly trivial comment: Maisky, aside from the hair bears an uncanny resemblance to the actor who played that hitman in that movie with Natalie POortman

Such amazing style, I can't imagine how hard it would be to keep continuous back and forth strokes the whole song, as opposed to using a stroke for each note.

Lol you think he's struggling? I highly doubt that. And where exactly do you see him counting?? I didn't see him counting at all, and with all of the tempo changes he does it would be very hard for him to count anyways. Lol

womp womp. he's not struggling in the least. this piece is very open to interpertation and he does a beautiful job on it. i prefer this version over the others that i've listened to.

I really like the sound of his cello. I wonder if its the room or the cello that makes it sound so beautiful.
